In Bolivian artist Graciela Rodo Boulanger’s “Promenade a Trois,” charm and colorful patterns emphasize the simple childhood pleasure of bike riding. Boulanger spent more than two decades studying piano with her mother, then pursued art, spending seven years in Paris learning printmaking. Boulanger’s fanciful works exclusively feature children’s directness, innocence and rapport with animals. Bolivia’s brightly clad citizens and monochrome mountains are represented by the children’s vivid clothing and neutral backgrounds. Working in many mediums, Boulanger has exhibited her art on five continents.
